Medical Cables
Plastics One has a long history of supplying custom medical cable assemblies.
We began by manufacturing a better, more durable hearing aid cord than was available in 1949.
Very quickly our capabilities and part offerings, both for medical cords and medical molded parts, multiplied.
Medical cables are a major component of most diagnostic and treatment-based technology. We have created designs
for the EEG (electroencephalography), EMG (electromyography), NIM (nerve integrity monitoring), PSG (polysomnography),
EMS (electromuscular stimulation) and ECG (electrocardiography) markets. Our cable designs are ISO certified and have been
created by experts with more then 70 combined years of experience in the medical industry. We have several standard cables
which are availabe as part of our product line that do not require tooling and are ready for manufacturing.
Some examples of Connectors that we manufacture:
- Safety (TouchProof) plugs & jacks, both single and multi-pin
- Snap and Tab electrode clips
- EEG cups
- Bar and digital ring electrodes
- Multi-pin yokes incorporating safety connectors
- Miniature 2-pin and 3-pin connectors, traditionally for hearing enhancement
- Round and D-Sub, Multi-pin connectors for standard machine connections

We have proven our commitment to the industry by remaining on the forefront of manufacturing safety connectors
for medical cables for both domestic and international requirements. With in-house design, tooling and production support,
we are able to supply prototype to production run quantities for small to large original equipment
manufacturers (OEM). Although we have a standard product line, our specialty lies in custom medical wires and cables that demand unique and complex
design requirements. One good example are cable systems that require electronic components or miniature printed circuit boards (PCBs) molded into plugs or small enclosures.
