Our new microdialysis probe is a valuable tool that enables the researcher to study the neurochemistry of a freely moving animal. It is currently used with much success to analyze in vivo neurotransmitter release and to track drug and other organic deliveries. The resultant microdialysis samples can be quickly analyzed off-line or on-line.
We currently offer membrane cutoffs of 13,000 and 18,000 daltons, and plan to offer additional cutoffs in the future.
The probe components: the guide cannula, dummy, and probe are all sold separately. We can custom cut each for your model.
This design will enable you to implant the animal with the guide and dummy cannulas, allowing the animal to recover before performing the microdialysis perfusion on your selected date. Cannula and dummy designs are the same Plastics One products used by our researchers for decades.
